From Arrow to Airplane

14 x 3’

Interstitial series that reveals the national identity through Brazilian design

Design is an idea and an action that has lived with the mankind since the beginning of civilization. From the recognition of the first tool - a simple wood used for hunting -, the man began to create objects that he needed for his daily life.

The proposal of "From Arrow to Airplane" is to describe the two great aspects of design that supported the culture of Brazilian nation: the first will show and describe the objects of daily use created by the natives of Brazil; the second will address the direct European heritage and its necessary adaptations to colonization.

"From Arrow to Airplane" will be divided into 14 episodes, told through animations and graphic arts, music and narration. The choice of concept of design to drive the narrative is that it will give style and modernity to the interstitials´ language.
